Us About
about001-2
Christchurch Health Centre is a family run business that incorporates Christchurch Pharmacy, Christchurch Clinics and Christchurch Care Agency.
It was birthed out of a strong desire to see people enjoy balanced, wholesome lives in the face of a rapidly changing world.
Baba (Pharmacist) and wife Dupe (Medical Doctor) moved to Braintree in 2003 having purchased a small run-down pharmacy on the High Street. Dupe soon became a GP partner in Mount Chambers Surgery, Braintree and our desire to serve a thriving community professionally took root.
Christchurch Pharmacy became the fastest growing pharmacy in Braintree seeing our custom more than double in the first three years.
In 2008 the Pharmacy relocated to its current location in Blandford Medical Centre on the old St Michael’s Hospital site. This transition with all its difficulty paled into insignificance when we became recipients of two Mid-Essex Business Awards, the first for Innovation and the second for Staff Training and Development.
We grasped the opportunity to cultivate Christchurch on two sites with Christchurch Clinics remaining on the High Street in its infancy as a Private Medical Clinic. In August 2010, we took over the ownership of Grapevine Employment Agency now known as Christchurch Cares with a view to further fulfil our vision to promote ‘health and wellbeing’ in our community. It is our desire to run a Care home in the near future.

It will be incomplete not to mention our underlying faith in God who has blessed us with the opportunity to serve our community in ever increasing capacity
as we grow the Christchurch brand. The greatest privilege is to daily see God use our teams of imperfect but committed people to add value to the health and social wellbeing of vulnerable people in our community.

We have a contract with ECC to provide Domiciliary Care Services, we have an NHS contract to provide Pharmaceutical services, but we also provide these services privately direct to our customers. We are passionate about training and the Pharmacy was first registered to train Pre-registration pharmacists in 2005. We currently have three pre-registration trainees in training every year.
